The following will be a study of
the faith, the mystery and the magic
of classical and contemporary witchcraft.
The beginning of all religion
begins with prehistoric man and woman,
the way they perceived
the forces of nature
and the effects those
forces had on their existence.
The evolution of religion
went from simple primitive impressions
to the more complex, diversified systems
devised by the spiritual leaders of the tribes,
as their knowledge of human nature
increased in its limited infancy.
True witchcraft embraces
the power of love,
the forces of nature
and the promise
of reincarnation.
True witchcraft seeks
never to harm any thing
or any one
in any way.
The true witches are merely followers
of perhaps the earliest of primitive religions
where a female goddess,
The Earth Mother or The Earth Goddess
has dominion over the earth,
and provided them with spiritual strength
and wisdom to meet the challenges of life.
The Christian Church
is based on a father god
having dominion over the earth,
which is typical of male dominated civilization
and afforded greater strength and wisdom.
The Christian Church
is a valuable asset
to the cause of civilization,
and its influence has engendered
love, peace, hope and compassion,
but the Christian Church
is not infallible.
The Christian Church
makes mistakes
and one of its greatest mistakes
is the maligning and subsequent
persecution of witches.
The Christian Church
sought to evangelize the whole world
and to bring the populations of the world
under the absolute control
and protection of the Christian Church.
In order to make it easier for them to do so,
they elected to take shortcuts,
and utilized everything they could
to discredit all other religions
of the entire world.
They proclaimed to the people
that anything that was not good
by the Christian Church criterion
was considered to be evil
and the dominion of Satan,
Christianitys Prince Of Darkness.
Witches had nothing whatsoever
to do with Satan, a fanciful entity
they knew absolutely nothing about
since Satan is chiefly
a Christian personification.
The evil, ugly witch
that we were taught to fear
is a deliberate fabrication
of the early Christian Church
to facilitate the expeditious
eradication of witchcraft.
The early Christian Church
tortured, crushed, drowned,
burned and mercilessly persecuted
incalculable thousands
of unfortunate innocents
when they refused to comply
with Christian dogma.
The early Christian Church
was a great power to reckon with
because it claimed knowledge of
and direct contact with
the one and only true god.
Enemies of those in power
the witch, the Jew,
the physically challenged folk,
the mentally challenged folk,
the eccentric,
the free spirited
or any other man, woman or child
who displayed the slightest
indication of individualism or abnormality
by Christian Church standards
were subject to the prejudicial
scrutiny of its misguided leaders.
The world can be grateful that
knowledge and true understanding
are at work to cleanse the Christian Church
of its early sins against humanity
and to create a more perfect code
of ethics for the masses to embrace.
The best way for me to share
my enlightenment
as I attain it from
the sources I am studying,
is to offer you links
to sites that specialize in
the wonder of witchcraft.
Bright blessings, dear reader!
